Nimbus

Nimbus is a flying storm-cloud mob for RuneFist Engine. He moves around his target, strikes with lightning, fires wind charges and follows players overhead with damaging rain. Keep moving to escape the downpour.

Mob features

  • Airborne movement with combat repositioning and obstacle avoidance.

  • Animated lightning strike with a ground warning, branching yellow electricity and impact effects. His texture briefly flashes when the strike fires.

  • Wind-charge projectiles that knock players back.

  • Overhead rain attack that follows the player. Move out from under Nimbus or use solid cover to avoid the rain damage.

  • Hit Nimbus directly with a player-thrown wind charge to interrupt his attack and briefly slow him.

  • Blue, Dark and Gold variants, with matching cloud particles. Choose one or mix them within a gang.

  • Cloud puffs, rain, electricity, impact sparks and smoke, plus movement and combat sounds.

  • Attacks do not destroy terrain or change the world's weather.

In-game settings

RuneFist pixel-art mob, tome, combat, variants and drop controls

Use the RuneFist Tome to place spawn areas and adjust population, respawn timing, variants, health, damage, movement speed, detection range, brightness and item drops.

The spawn radius controls where mobs appear; leash distance controls how far they can move. Give Nimbus open airspace and enough height above the combat area for his rain attack.

Source files

This product is supplied as protected runtime content for RuneFist Engine. Editable source files, including Blockbench (.bbmodel) models and behavior/configuration source files, are not included. Supported gameplay settings can be customized through RuneFist Engine in-game.

Optional Bedrock support

This download includes converted models, animations and effects for experimental Bedrock visuals. RuneFist Engine still runs all gameplay. Requires Engine 0.1.8, the free Bedrock Bridge 0.1.0 from the Engine listing, and Geyser-Spigot 2.11.3 build 1247 on the same Java server. No converter subscription is needed.

Inventory artwork, custom sound mapping, brightness and some procedural/death poses do not yet match Java. Separate-JVM proxy setups are not supported. Java-only servers can ignore the Bedrock folder. Original editable projects are not included; converted client assets are readable by clients.
