CREATED BYRuneFist Studios22 plugins

RuneFist Engine is the free plugin for running and managing compatible RuneFist Studios content. Open /rf to access your products, in-game settings and the RuneFist Tome.

This download contains the engine only. Mob products, including Dendroid and Grog, are separate. ModelEngine is required and is not included.

Installation & User Manual

Step-by-step setup, menu controls, resource-pack hosting and troubleshooting are covered in the manual.

Current features

  • Create mob gangs: place saved spawn areas and set their radius, height limits, target population, spawn batches and respawn timing.

  • Edit with the tome: see nearby gangs through floating mob-head markers and colored boundaries. Select, move and edit them in game.

  • Adjust combat: set health, attack damage, movement speed, detection range and recovery between attacks. Choose hostile, passive or retaliatory behavior, or apply gentle and fierce combat presets.

  • Choose variants: select one of a product's supplied variants or use Mixed to spawn different variants within the same gang.

  • Assign mob drops: select inventory items, set each item's drop chance and quantity range, and enable or disable drops. Multiple items can drop from one kill.

  • Use defaults or gang-specific settings: keep shared settings for a mob type, or customize individual gangs. Adjust sound volume or mute the mob while keeping its authored sounds.

  • Manage installed products: activate content, spawn temporary previews and check runtime and resource-pack status through the menus.

The settings above are available in game without editing configuration files. Available models, animations, variants and mob-specific mechanics depend on the content product you install.

Resource packs and other plugins

RuneFist Engine can host its own resource pack. Nexo, ItemsAdder and MythicMobs are not required. Remote players need a reachable download address and port; the manual explains how to configure these.

Supported Nexo and ItemsAdder items can be used as drops when their respective plugins are installed. RuneFist can deliver its pack alongside other plugins' packs, but competing pack senders and shared ModelEngine resources may need configuration. See the compatibility guide.

Requirements

  • A Minecraft Java Edition server running Paper. Current tested target: 1.21.11, with Java 21.

  • ModelEngine, purchased separately. Current tested version: R4.1.0.

  • A compatible RuneFist Engine content product to add mobs. No mobs are bundled with the engine.

  • Folia is not supported.

Planned sections

Bosses, pets and mounts are planned. They are not included as completed systems in the current mob workflow.
