Spool

A little cloth mage with a needle in each hand and a spool on his back. Spool keeps moving while throwing needle salvos and weaving magical tripwires across your path. Dodge the needles, jump over the threads, and close the distance before he catches you.

Mob features

  • Three-shot needle salvos with alternating left and right hands. Throw animations blend with walking or standing.

  • Visible trap placement: Spool plants a needle, unwinds thread while moving, then anchors the other end.

  • Magical tripwires damage and slow players who cross them. Jump over or go around the thread to avoid it; hitting the anchors does not break the trap.

  • Traps expire and are limited per mob and nearby group, keeping encounters manageable.

  • Shorter and angled trap layouts adapt to the available space. Ground movement handles small steps, drops and obstacles where a traversable route exists.

  • Three variants: Teal, Burgundy and Ivory, with matching magical threads and particles. Select one or use Mixed variants.

  • Custom needle models, floating thread effects, sparkles and sounds.

In-game settings

RuneFist in-game mob controls

Use the RuneFist Tome to configure gang spawn areas, population, respawn timing, variants, health, damage, movement speed, detection range, brightness and item drops. Natural spawning rules can place mobs by biome and supported conditions.

Spawn radius controls where mobs appear; leash distance controls how far they can travel. Give Spool walkable ground and room to lay his threads. Traps do not place or destroy terrain blocks.

Source files

This product supplies protected Java runtime content for RuneFist Engine. Original editable source files, including Blockbench (.bbmodel) projects and behavior/configuration source files, are not included. Supported gameplay settings are available through the in-game menus. Converted Bedrock visual assets are client-readable and are not protected against extraction.

Optional Bedrock support

Converted models, animations and effects provide experimental Bedrock visuals. RuneFist Engine still handles all gameplay. Requires the free Bedrock Bridge 0.1.0 from the Engine listing and Geyser-Spigot 2.11.3 build 1247 on the same Java server. No converter subscription is required.

Inventory artwork, custom sound mapping, brightness and some procedural/death poses do not yet match Java. Separate-JVM proxy setups are not supported. Java-only servers can ignore the Bedrock folder.
